Continuing a Long History of Giving Back
For the fourth consecutive year, Port Washington State Bank was named among the Milwaukee Business Journal’s list of Largest Corporate Charitable Contributors in Wisconsin, receiving recognition for its century-plus-long history of philanthropy and volunteerism. The list was recently published on October 6, 2023.
The bank ranks 27 out of 39 with giving totals of $300,000 in combined cash and in-kind donations for the 2022 calendar year, and 1,300 hours of community service.
“We're honored to be named among this list of Wisconsin-based companies. It's amazing to think of the impact that all these contributions have had on where we live, work and raise our families," commented James Schowalter, President and Chief Operating Officer.
A large percentage of volunteer hours contributed to the community come from PWSB’s retail staff members who serve on boards and committees, and help at various community events throughout Ozaukee County.
“We encourage our employees to give of their time and to participate in local events because we know these actions help shape our communities,” added Schowalter.
