Frequently Asked Questions
Who is eligible for this program?
To be eligible for the loan, the current or new business must be located inside Ozaukee County. The loans are subject to credit approval.
What if my improvement is more than $50,000?
The loan can be used as a primary loan or in conjunction with other loans and financing to aid in project completion. As an example, if a loan request for $80,000 was received, the first $50,000 may qualify for the program, and the balance would be subject to current finance rates. Each loan is evaluated separately on collateral, risk and terms.
What items do I need to supply with my application?
You will be asked for an itemized list of improvements for the loan amount and for the entire project. Additional details may be needed after our business team has had a chance to review the application.
I've received a community development loan from my town, village or city in the past. Do I still qualify for the program?
Yes, Port Washington State Bank's program is available to repeat customers. As of April 30th, 2019, there are no longer individual programs for various towns, villages or cities. The program is now a singular, county-wide initiative.
Will my information be shared with the municipality in which my business resides?
No, however, we encourage you to work closely with your municipality to gain their support in other ways.
